OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma City University men's soccer team blanked Texas Wesleyan 3-0 on Saturday at Stars Field.
Sophomore Logan Stewart led off the scoring with his sixth goal of the year in the 31st minute when Rams goalkeeper Alexis Yanez mishandled the ball in the box. The Stars move to 5-8 and 5-2 in Sooner Athletic Conference play. The Rams fell to 8-6-1 and 2-4-1 in the SAC.
Freshman Djordje Djordjevic, of Smederevska Palanka, Serbia, scored his second goal of the season off an assist by senior Volney Richardson, of Flower Mound, Texas, in the 54th minute.
Juan Ocampo, a junior from Boca Raton, Fla., added a goal in the 62nd minute off an assist by Djordjevic. The goal was Ocampo's second on the season.
Sophomore Vladimir Kalajdzic, of Novi Sad, Serbia, notched his third shutout of the year and tallied 10 saves. Yanez made four saves and dropped to 0-2 on the season.
The Stars held the shot advantage at 22-14.
OCU returns to action 5 p.m. Wednesday against Wayland Baptist (Texas) in Plainview, Texas.
