Stars notch 1-0 win over St. Gregory's

OCU improves to 5-0-1 in SAC play

OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma City University women's soccer team beat St. Gregory's 1-0 on Tuesday at Stars Field.
Sara Ricks, a freshman from Keller, Texas, scored the lone goal of the match in the 59th minute off a long assist by Allie Glazner, a senior from Edmond, Okla. The Stars improved to 9-3-1 and 5-0-1 in the Sooner Athletic Conference. St. Gregory's fell to 6-8 and 1-5 in the SAC.
The goal by Ricks was her fifth on the season, while the assist was the first on the season for Glazner.
The Stars goalkeeper Kirsten Thomas, a freshman from Keller, Texas, recorded her fifth shutout of the season. Thomas registered three saves and moved to 8-3-1. Jena Flewelling made 9 saves for the Cavaliers and dropped to 3-7.
The Stars held the shot advantage 24-5.
OCU returns to action 5 p.m. Saturday against Texas Wesleyan at Stars Field.
