Stars get shut out at Texas-Tyler

OCU falls to 1-2-1 on the season

TYLER, Texas – Oklahoma City University lost to Texas-Tyler 1-0 on Tuesday at Citizens 1st Bank-Perkins Soccer Complex.
The Stars found themselves trailing early when Diego Guttierez scored for Texas-Tyler in the third minute. Oklahoma City fell to 1-2-1 in men's soccer.
OCU had five shots on goal and three corners, but didn't find the back of the net. Alexandre Taiar, a freshman from Sao Paulo, Brazil, led the Stars with four shots, two on goal.
Vladimir Kalajdzic, a freshman from Novi Sad, Serbia, played all 90 minutes and had five saves for the Stars.
OCU returns home at 3 p.m. Saturday to face MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) at Stars Field.
