Stars end regular season with loss to Texas Wesleyan

OCU awaits SAC Tournament pairings

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University took a 25-19, 25-17, 25-21 setback from Texas Wesleyan on Saturday at Abe Lemons Arena.
The Stars concluded the regular season 19-11, 11-5 in Sooner Athletic Conference volleyball. The SAC Tournament runs Nov. 13-15 in Plainview, Texas. Pairings are to be announced.
OCU's Kristen Macy, a sophomore from Edmond, Okla., posted eight kills and 11 digs, while Meghan Irwin, a senior from Arlington, Texas, added six kills and five digs.
Taylor Chase, a junior from Yukon, Okla., provided the Stars 20 assists and six digs, and Kelley Shiels, a senior from Edmond, Okla., added six digs for the Stars. Aspen Healy, a senior from Oklahoma City, topped Oklahoma City with five blocks while adding four kills.
In the third set, OCU erased a 13-9 deficit and tied the score 13-13. Healy and Holly Randall combined on a block during the Stars' 4-0 run. Macy had a kill to tie the set 17-17, but Texas Wesleyan slipped past the rest of the way.
