Macy earns second straight SAC honor

Sophomore from Edmond, Okla., helps improve Stars to 18-10

Kristen Macy won her second straight Sooner Athletic Conference award.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Kristen Macy of Oklahoma City University was tabbed the Sooner Athletic Conference hitter of the week for Oct. 27-Nov. 2.
Macy, a sophomore outside hitter from Edmond, Okla., won her first SAC hitter of the week award. Last week, Macy was named SAC volleyball player of the week.
Macy averaged 4.83 kills, 2.67 digs and 0.33 aces with a .344 attack percentage as Oklahoma City split matches, beating Southwestern Christian and losing to Wayland Baptist (Texas), ranked 19th in the NAIA.
Macy had 16 kills and 12 digs in the loss to WBU and added 13 kills and four digs in the SCU win.
In 2014, Macy has accumulated 3.86 kills, 2.87 digs, 0.25 blocks, 0.18 aces and 4.33 points per set for the Stars.
