Stars remain unbeaten in conference

OCU improves to 6-0-1 in the Sooner Athletic Conference

Aron Chapman scored his first goal of the season

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University took down Mid-America Christian 3-1 Saturday at Evangel Field.
Logan Stewart provided two assists in the victory for the Stars. OCU improved to 7-3-2, 6-0-1 in Sooner Athletic men's soccer.
The Stars were first to get on the scoreboard. Stewart, a freshman from Denton, Texas, beat a defender on the outside and sent a ball into the 18-yard box. Kieran McLachlan, a senior from Aidrie, Scotland, collected the cross and netted his fourth goal of the season.
OCU extended the lead in the 21st minute. Aron Chapman, a sophomore from Sutton Coldfiend, England, scored his first goal of the season off a pass from Stewart.
Mid-America Christian cut the lead in the 23rd minute when Devin Theisen found the back of the net.
The Stars collected an insurance goal in the 56th minute. A defender from Mid-America Christian knocked the ball in the goal to give OCU the 3-1 lead.
Vladimir Kalajdzic, a freshman from Novi Sad, Serbia, needed only one save to give the Stars the win.
OCU plays Texas Wesleyan 7 p.m. Tuesday in Fort Worth, Texas.
