OCU takes second in Cumberlands Duals

Stars went 5-1 in the Cumberlands Duals

Briena Delgado won all three of her matches in the Cumberlands Duals Saturday.

CUMBERLAND, Ky. - Oklahoma City University finished runner-up with two victories in women's wrestling on Saturday at Cumberlands intramural gym in the Cumberlands Duals.
The Stars, ranked second in the Women's College Wrestling Association, controlled Missouri Baptist 42-3 and took care of Lindenwood (Mo.) 27-20. OCU fell to King (Tenn.) 32-13. King (Tenn.) ranks first in the WCWA.
Emily Webster, a senior from Sedalia, Mo., and Brieana Delgado, a senior from Fountain Inn S.C., won all of their matches.
Against Lindenwood (Mo.), OCU collected victories from Webster, Cody Pfau, Shelby Morrison, Rachel Archer, Delgado and Kayla Aggio before forfeiting the last three matches.
In the championship match, OCU gathered wins from Webster, Delgado and Heather O'Connor.
The Stars host Wayland Baptist (Texas) 7 p.m. Thursday at Abe Lemons Arena.
