Phelps has been a part of four conference title teams as well as three NCAA Tournament teams during his 23-year coaching career. Phelps played for Texas Lutheran, eventually joining the Bulldog Athletic Hall of Fame.
John Martin is in his sixth season as St. Gregory's coach with a 40-110 record since taking the helm. Martin played college basketball at St. Gregory's, when it was a junior college, and OCU.

QUOTABLE: "I feel like he got us off to a very good start. I loved his energy when we started the game, and that is how he has to play. He has to bring that type of energy each and every game, and that way it will spread and become contagious." – Phelps on Walker
