OCU falls 3-1 to Oklahoma Wesleyan

Stars fall to 2-3 overall

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University fell 3-1 to ninth-ranked Oklahoma Wesleyan Tuesday at Stars Field.
The Stars, now 2-3 on the season, took an early lead but surrendered three unanswered goals and suffered the 3-1 setback.
Ruy Vaz put the Stars on top 1-0 in the 14th minute when he took a pass from Kieran McLachlan and scored his third goal of the season.
Oklahoma Wesleyan evened the match at 1-1 in the 19th minute when Luka Milicevic corralled a loose ball after the OCU defense cleared a corner kick and scored.
In the 70th minute, Lucas Almeida gave Oklahoma Wesleyan a 3-1 lead when he scored.
Brandon Disney gave Oklahoma Wesleyan the 3-1 victory when he scored in the 72nd minute.
OCU goalkeeper Joe Shulberg played all 90 minutes in goal for the Stars and made 10 saves.
The Stars will return to action against Our Lady of the Lake (Texas) at 7 p.m. Saturday at Stars Field.
