OCU socks Missouri Baptist 34-12

Stars conclude dual season at 18-3

Stephanie Geltmacher grabbed a fall Wednesday night.
ST. LOUIS – Oklahoma City University rolled to a 34-12 victory over Missouri Baptist on Wednesday at the Carl and Deloris Petty Sports and Recreation Complex.
Kayla Aggio, Stephanie Geltmacher, Beatrize Martinez and Logan Rich posted falls in the Stars' final dual of the season. OCU, the four-time defending Women's College Wrestling Association champion, finished 2012-13 at 18-3.
Rich, a senior from Hope, Maine, pinned Aleah LaFrancis at 123 pounds. Rich's fall followed two forfeits by Missouri Baptist as the Stars took a 16-3 lead in the dual.
Martinez, a junior from Fresno, Calif., added a fall at 136, then Aggio, a freshman from Rohnert Park, Calif., racked up the pin at 143.
At 155, Geltmacher, a junior from Kahaluui, Hawaii, finished off Brenda Gonzalez in 30 seconds. Demi Strub notched the final OCU win of the dual, a 4-4, 4-0, 6-0 triumph over Darcie Manning-O'Brien at 170.
The Stars take aim at the national championship in the WCWA Championships at 9 a.m. Jan. 26 in Bristol, Tenn.
