Stars take on John Brown in SAC Tournament

NAIA Championship Opening-Round berth up for grabs in SAC Tournament

Torrie Flynn has provided OCU with 2.04 kills, 0.73 blocks and 2.56 points a set this season.
SHAWNEE, Okla. – Oklahoma City University meets John Brown (Ark.) at 1 p.m. Friday in the Sooner Athletic Conference volleyball tournament at Oklahoma Baptist's Noble Complex.
The Stars (15-21) face John Brown (21-15) in a rematch of the regular-season finale for both teams. OCU defeated John Brown 25-19, 25-19, 25-22 on Saturday at Abe Lemons Arena.
OCU swept the regular-season series, winning 19-25, 25-16, 23-25, 25-22, 15-10 over John Brown on Oct. 6 in Siloam Springs, Ark.
Oklahoma Baptist awaits the winner of the JBU-OCU match in the tournament semifinals at 7 p.m. Friday. The tournament championship is set for 7 p.m. Saturday with a berth in the NAIA Championship Opening Round at stake. Live stats for all tournament matches will be available by clicking here.
Meghan Irwin, a sophomore from Arlington, Texas, tops the Stars with 392 kills and 2.93 kills and 3.16 points per set. Irwin averages 0.43 blocks a set.
Hannah Mitcham, a freshman from Fort Worth, Texas, has posted 8.80 assists and 2.42 digs a set, while Danielle Robison, a junior from Dallas, has produced 4.11 digs and an SAC-leading 0.50 aces per set for OCU.
The Stars won the SAC Tournament in 2010.
