OCU falls 2-1 to Lubbock Christian on the road

The Stars move to 4-5-3 on the season and 2-3-1 in SAC play

Drew Hall scored his third goal of the season against Lubbock Christian.
Box Score LUBBOCK, Texas – Oklahoma City University men's soccer fell 2-1 to Lubbock Christian (Texas) on the road Thursday at LCU Soccer Field.
The stars saw their two-game win streak come to an end, and move to 4-5-3 on the season and 2-3-1 in Sooner Athletic Conference play.
LCU struck first when Nick Gorrie scored on a pass from Adam Goodnight in the 44th minute to make the score 1-0 at the half.
LCU doubled its lead in the 56th minute when Gorrie scored his second goal of the match assisted by Jorge Martinez to make the score 2-0.
Sophomore Drew Hall scored his third goal of the season in the 76th minute cutting the LCU lead to one and making the score 2-1.
Freshman Adam Black and junior David Kamali had second-half shots hit the post and cross bar to keep the score at 2-1 in favor of LCU.
The Stars outshot LCU 26-9, but were unable to equalize and the match ended with the score still 2-1.
Sophomore goalkeeper Joe Shulberg allowed two goals and made three saves in 90 minutes of action for OCU.
The Stars will hit the pitch against Wayland Baptist (Texas) at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hilliard Field in Plainview, Texas.
