WICHITA, Kan. – Oklahoma City University completed its dual season with a 34-10 victory over Newman (Kan.) on Wednesday at Fugate Gymnasium.
The Stars, ranked 15th in NAIA wrestling, finished 10-7 their second winning dual season since restarting the program in 2006-07.
Campbell, a sophomore from Arnold, Mo., finished up his 165-pound bout against Clark Driz in 4:48.
Meyer, a junior from Midwest City, Okla., ended his 157-pound match vs. Dakota Hayes in 1:55. Meyer entered the match ranked seventh among NAIA 157-pounders.
Gomez, a sophomore from Noble, Okla., walloped Jarod Stephenson 9-1 in the 125-pound match to spark OCU. Gomez is ranked seventh in the NAIA at 125.
The Stars compete next in the Briar Cliff Open on Feb. 5 in Sioux City, Iowa. OCU will aim to add to its nine qualifiers for the NAIA Championships.
