The Stars moved to No. 17 in the last NAIA Division I rankings. In the preseason, the Stars have been picked to finish sixth in the Sooner Athletic Conference. OCU has captured the SAC regular-season crown 13 times.

Brisco McPherson has a 267-278 record in his 19th season as USAO coach. McPherson, also the school's athletic director, led USAO to the 2002 NAIA championship.

QUOTABLE:You might remember he had some big shots at SNU, and I felt psychologically he might have a good game just because he had a good game against them over there. I was really pleased with his play. He continues to get better, and we're happy that he's here.” – Morrissey on Williams' play Saturday
