OCU vs. Dallas Christian men's basketball preview

THE MATCHUP: Oklahoma City University aims to keep its record unblemished against Dallas Christian.
Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 students and free to OCU students, faculty and staff with their ID.

ABOUT THE STARS: OCU (5-0) hung a 90-58 victory over Central Bible (Mo.) on Tuesday night at Abe Lemons Arena. The Stars built lopsided advantages in points off turnovers (41-6), points in the paint (48-12) and points in transition (18-0).
Shane Rogers, a 6-foot-4 junior from Flower Mound, Texas, led five double-digit OCU scorers with 16 points. Rogers also had nine rebounds and three assists. Rogers averages 11.4 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists a game.
Kaleb Smith, a 6-5 freshman from Choctaw, Okla., provided 13 points, four assists and six steals. Smith shot 6-for-7 from the field. Smith records 9.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and a team-high 2.20 steals a contest. Nate Flowers, a 6-5 senior from Waldorf, Md., contributed 12 points and a game-high 10 rebounds. OCU leads the NAIA in field-goal percentage (56.1 percent), victory margin (48.8 points a game), assists a game (25.8) and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.6 per turnover). To see where OCU stacks up statistically in the NAIA, click here.

The Stars received votes in the preseason national rankings. OCU has been picked to finish fifth in the SAC according to league coaches. Six-time national champion OCU has captured the SAC regular-season crown 13 times.
OCU owns a 4-0 all-time record against Dallas Christian. The Stars crushed Dallas Christian 108-78 on Nov. 7, 2009 at Abe Lemons Arena.

ABOUT THE CRUSADERS: Dallas Christian dropped an 83-65 decision to Lubbock Christian (Texas) on Tuesday in Lubbock, Texas. Dallas Christian enters its contest at 7 p.m. Friday against John Brown (Ark.) in Dallas at 0-6.
Isaac Gonzalezs, a 6-7 forward, led his team with 17 points, six rebounds and three steals against Lubbock Christian. John Burnett, a 6-2 guard, scored 14 points and dropped in three 3-pointers Tuesday.
Dallas Christian entered the season ranked 10th in NCCAA Division II.

ABOUT THE COACHES: Kevin Morrissey has posted a 37-26 record in his third season at OCU. Morrissey spent the previous four seasons as St. Gregory's coach. He also has been an assistant at Missouri State and Texas-Pan American. Morrissey played his college ball at Oklahoma Baptist and Oral Roberts and high school at Bishop McGuinness in Oklahoma City.
Charles Williams serves as the Dallas Christian head coach and athletic director. Dallas Christian went 14-25 last season.
