OCU's Ma, Robison accrue honors from SAC

Ma named SAC volleyball player of week, Robison picks up setter of week

Danielle Robison reached 50 assists in a match three times last week.
OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University's Xiaoting Ma picked up Sooner Athletic Conference volleyball player of the week honors for Oct. 11-17, heading this week's group of award winners.
The Stars' Danielle Robison joined Ma as an SAC honoree this week by garnering setter of the week.
Ma, a senior from Dalian, China, led the Stars to a 3-2 week, averaging 4.52 kills and 3.71 digs per set. She also had a .372 attack percentage and had 25 kills against Lindenwood (Mo.), ranked 24th in the NAIA, and 24 kills against No. 23 Olivet Nazarene (Ill.). Ma also recorded three assists, two aces and three blocks on the week.
In the Lindenwood Invitational, Ma recorded 4.88 kills and 3.71 digs a set. On the year, Ma averages 3.74 kills, 3.59 digs, 0.42 blocks and 0.24 aces a set.
Ma has been selected as SAC player of the week three times this year and six times in her three-year OCU career.
Robison, a freshman from Dallas, averaged 11.81 assists for the Stars. She also had 10 kills, 35 digs, three aces and 2.5 blocks. She topped 50 assists for the first time this season. Robison tallied 52 assists vs. Olivet Nazarene, then 56 against Lindenwood and 55 vs. Bryan (Tenn.).
In the weekend tournament, Robison dished out 12.00 assists a set. On the year, Robison has accumulated 6.35 assists, 1.74 digs and a team-high 0.33 aces a set.
The Stars (15-9, 5-3 SAC) meet John Brown (Ark.) at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Abe Lemons Arena.
