WINFIELD, Kan. – Vanessa Richartz put together a 21-minute, 12.87-second performance to lead Oklahoma City University in the NAIA Mid-States Classic.
Richartz, a freshman from Norman, Okla., placed 74th individually in the 5,000 meters as the Stars were 22nd as a team.
Elyse Davis, a freshman from Midwest City, Okla., ran the race in 23:08.66, and Sooner Davenport finished in 23:38.57 for the Stars.
Jacqueline Sandel completed the run in 27:06.25, and Arin Warren recorded a 29:23.53.
Among the men, Justin Dametz ran the 8K in 30:03.92. Dametz, a junior from Benton, Kan., finished 151st among the 215 competitors.
Monroe Tahmahkera covered the distance in 30:49.33, and Nick Evans turned in a 32:46.51.
OCU will run in the Sooner Athletic Conference Championships on Nov. 6 in Lubbock, Texas.
