OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University will offer a live video stream of its season-opening women's wrestling duals Saturday on its athletics web site.
OCU faces Jamestown (N.D.) at 10 a.m., Jamestown Black at 11 a.m., Cumberlands (Ky.) White at noon, then Cumberlands at 1 p.m. Saturday at Abe Lemons Arena. Each of OCU's home duals will be video streamed via OCUsports.com.
The video stream will cost $7.95. To sign up for the video, click here. OCU's other home duals will be against Missouri Baptist and Missouri Valley on Nov. 7.
The Stars aim to defend their Women's College Wrestling Association championship and NWCA National Duals title in 2009-10. OCU returns 10 all-Americans, three 2009 national champions and one 2008 national champ.
“We want to repeat as national champions and dual champions,” OCU coach Archie Randall said. “We are returning most of our lineup, and among the freshmen, there's a good talent pool with five all-Americans. We're going to be pretty solid.”
OCU opens the season with four top-ranked individuals – Nicole Woody at 48 kilograms, Michaela Hutchison at 55, Tessa Plana at 63 and Stefenie Shaw at 67. To view the complete WCWA individual rankings, click here.
