THE MATCHUP:
Oklahoma City University visits Las Vegas to play Dakota Wesleyan (S.D.), Campbellsville (Ky.) and South Dakota Mines.

ABOUT THE STARS:
OCU opened Sooner Athletic Conference play with a 63-38 victory over St. Gregory?s on Dec. 18 at Abe Lemons Arena. The Stars raised their record to 9-0.
Romana Vynuchalova
, a 6-foot-4 junior from Bratislava, Slovakia, led OCU with 14 points and two blocked shots. Mikelle Brown, a 5-9 junior from Tulsa, Okla., added 12 points and six rebounds.
Alexandra Kotta, a 5-11 senior from Germantown, Md., paces the Stars with 17.1 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.11 steals a game.
The Stars are ranked second in the NAIA Division I. OCU won the Sooner Athletic Conference regular-season and tournament championships last season. In the preseason, OCU has been favored to defend its conference crown, tied with Lubbock Christian (Texas) for the top spot in the poll.

ABOUT DAKOTA WESLEYAN:
Dakota Wesleyan fell 80-60 to Minnesota State-Mankato to 2-11 on Dec. 16 in Mitchell, S.D.
Sarah Mortenson, a 5-6 sophomore, had 13 points and three assists to lead Dakota Wesleyan. Adria Pazour, a 5-10 junior, topped Dakota Wesleyan with nine rebounds.
Kelly Haiar, a 5-9 senior, leads the team with 12.5 points a game.

ABOUT CAMPBELLSVILLE:
Campbellsville lost 51-41 to Brescia (Ky.) on Dec. 20 at Campbellsville, Ky., to drop to 7-6.
Kristi Ensminger
, a 6-foot freshman, led the Lady Tigers with 14 points and five rebounds.
Julija Ilic, a 6-5 senior, scores a team-high 11.5 points a game, while Ensminger is the team?s leading rebounder at 6.2 a game entering the classic.

ABOUT THE LADY HARDROCKERS:
South Dakota Mines suffered a 75-68 loss to Midland Lutheran (Neb.) on Dec. 16 in Fremont, Neb., falling to 9-5.
Melanie Vedvie, a 5-7 junior, led South Dakota Mines with 23 points, while Jennie Malone, a 5-10 junior, had a team-high eight rebounds.
Vedvie has team-high averages of 20.4 points and 7.6 rebounds per game entering the classic.

ABOUT THE COACHES: Rob Edmisson
has a 343-122 record in 16 seasons as a head coach. Edmisson took the Stars to the NAIA quarterfinals and a 32-3 record his first season at OCU. Edmisson coached the only player drafted into the WNBA at OCU, Mariam Sy. He won 192 games at Hutchinson (Kan.) and 110 as a high-school coach in Kansas.
Ann Konechne has a 20-56 career record as a head coach with Dakota Wesleyan. Dakota Wesleyan went 11-21 last season under Konechne?s guidance. Konechne is a former graduate assistant at St. Cloud State (Minn.).
Donna Wise has won 20 games in 22 of her 30 seasons with Campbellsville. Wise has led Campbellsville to 17 NAIA Tournament appearances and produced 40 all-Americans.
Barb Felderman owns a 362-297 record in her 26th season coaching South Dakota Mines. Felderman has led South Dakota Mines to NAIA semifinals appearances in 1998 and 1999. She previously coached softball at Ball State and volleyball at South Dakota Mines.
