Stars take on Texas A&M in exhibition

OCU meets Texas, A&M on consecutive days

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Defending national champion Oklahoma City University meets Texas A&M in a women's basketball exhibition Nov. 6 at Reed Arena.
Oklahoma City captured its ninth NAIA Division I championship 73-66 over Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) on March 21 in Billings, Mont. Texas A&M advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Tip time has not been determined.
The Stars have two exhibitions against NCAA Division I teams that week. OCU takes on Texas at 1 p.m. Nov. 5 in Austin, Texas.
OCU has nine national championships won in 1988, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2012, 2014, 2015 and 2017. The Stars (34-2) took their 17th Sooner Athletic Conference regular-season title and 11th SAC Tournament crown.
OCU's Daniela Galindo, a senior from Shattuck, Okla., became an honorable-mention NAIA Division I and WBCA NAIA all-American, all-tournament in the NAIA Tournament, the SAC Tournament hustle award winner, SAC newcomer of the year and second-team all-conference last season.
In 2016-17, Texas A&M (22-12) made its 12th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance. Danni Williams topped the Aggies in scoring with 16.6 points a game and collected second-team all-Southeastern Conference acclaim as a sophomore.
The Stars open the regular season Nov. 1 at Langston. OCU has eight games scheduled vs. six teams that advanced to the 2017 NAIA Division I Tournament.
