OCU boasts of 169 on Fall 2014 Athletic Director's List

Stars show committment to studies

OCU's pom/dance team topped the athletic department with 15 on the Athletic Director's List in the fall.

OKLAHOMA CITY - Oklahoma City University has recognized 169 student-athletes for achieving a 3.0 grade-point average during the semester on the Fall 2014 Athletic Director's List.
From among the honorees, 89 compiled a 3.50 GPA or above, while 17 OCU student-athletes made a 4.0 or better. The Stars combined for a GPA of 3.132 for the semester.
"Balancing the rigors of academic requirements and athletic competition requires commitment, perseverance and time management," OCU athletic director Jim Abbott said. "I am very proud of our student-athletes for their ongoing academic achievement."
Oklahoma City's pom/dance team led the department by placing 15 on the Athletic Director's List. OCU men's rowing had 14, while women's soccer and men's wrestling numbered 13 each.
