AUGUSTA, Kan. – Vanessa Richartz paced Oklahoma City University in its season-opening meet in the J.K. Gold Classic on Saturday at the RAFT Golf Course.

Richartz, a sophomore from Norman, Okla., finished the 4,000-meter race in 17 minutes, 11.34 seconds. She placed 36th out of 59 runners in the college division of the race.

Lydia Sweatt became the next Star finisher. Sweatt completed the run in 18:09.83. Brittanee McKnight crossed the finish in 18:28.62.

Elyse Davis finished in 18:32.79, and Sooner Davenport came in just behind at 18:46.22.

OCU compete next in the Southern Stampede on Sept. 18 in Joplin, Mo.
