LUBBOCK, Texas – Vanessa Richartz made the finish line first among the Oklahoma City University women’s runners in the Sooner Athletic Conference cross country championships on Friday at Chaparral Ridge Golf Course.
Richartz, a freshman from Norman, Okla., placed 25th overall with a time of 21 minutes, 27.21 seconds in the 5,000-meter competition.
Sooner Davenport finished in 23:10.85, while Elyse Davis completed the run in 23:52.96. Arin Warren chipped in a 26:41.56, and Jacqueline Sandal ran a 27:16.20.
The Stars finished sixth in the team standings with 180 points.
Among the men, Nick Bonfiglio paced OCU with a 28:35.13 in the 8K.
Tim Hartmuller had a 29:05.34, and Justin Dametz ran a 30:40.79. Monroe Tahmahkera turned in a 32:12.62, and Nic Evans finished in 33:48.76.
OCU placed seventh among the teams.
