OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma CityUniversity upended top-ranked Lubbock Christian (Texas) 5-0 on Friday at Jim Wade Stadium in the NAIA Region VI baseball championships.
The fifth-ranked Stars improved to 52-10 on the strength of Mike Lee’s two-hit, complete-game shutout. OCU advanced to the title game at 1 p.m. Saturday at Jim Wade Stadium in the driver’s seat to win the tournament.
Landon Camp hit a three-run homer and went 2-for-5 on Thursday.
OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma CityUniversity battered Oklahoma Baptist 25-2 on Thursday at Jim Wade Stadium in the NAIA Region VI baseball championships.
The fifth-ranked Stars banged out 29 hits and pounded seven home runs. The Stars (51-10) face top-ranked Lubbock Christian (Texas) at 11 a.m. Friday at Jim Wade Stadium in the winners bracket final.
FARMERS BRANCH, Texas – Oklahoma City University beat Houston-Victoria 6-0 and lost to Lubbock Christian (Texas) 1-0 on Thursday in the NAIA Region VI softball championships.
The third-ranked Stars went to 45-11 on the year. OCU had won 22 in a row.
OKLAHOMA CITY – Games originally scheduled for Wednesday in the NAIA Region VI baseball championships have been postponed due to rain.
The tournament will pick up again Thursday at Jim Wade Stadium with the same schedule – Northwood (Texas) vs. Texas Wesleyan at 11 a.m., Lubbock Christian (Texas) vs. Wayland Baptist (Texas) at 2:30 p.m. and Oklahoma Baptist vs. Oklahoma City University at 6 p.m.
