Taylor Wollenberg joined the OCU women’s coaching staff in August 2020.
She arrived from the high school level where she spent two years as an assistant coach at Mount St. Mary Catholic High School in Oklahoma City. Prior to Mount St. Mary, she served as the assistant varsity coach and head junior varsity coach at Purcell High School in Oklahoma.
Wollenberg started and ended her collegiate playing career at Southwestern (Kan.) in Winfield, KS. During her playing career, she was part of a record-setting team that advanced to the 2014 NAIA Division II Championship Tournament quarterfinals.
A graduate of Wayne High School (Okla.), she was named an honorable-mention McDonald's All-American, joined the 1,000-point club and became the first basketball student-athlete in school history, boys or girls, to be named all-state.
Wollenberg has also coached for Oklahoma Swarm since 2016, taking high school teams around the country to showcase events assisting players to reach the next level. She is also the director of communications and logistics for the Swarm for all grade levels.
In addition to coaching basketball, she enjoys riding horses, renovating houses and working with her family at their family-owned wood saw mill in Wayne. Wollenberg earned a bachelor's of science degree at Southwestern College in Sports Management. She and her husband, Kyle, live in Norman, Okla., with her stepdaughter, Whitney, and two dogs, Axel and Merlie.
