McKinsey Schumpert-Reddoch enters her second season at Oklahoma City University aiding in all aspects of the women's basketball program.
Reddoch contributed to Oklahoma City capturing its fourth consecutive Sooner Athletic Conference regular-season championship in 2019-20. The Stars (30-2) held the top ranking in three consecutive national polls while opening with a 27-0 record for the program's best start since going 34-0 in 2002-03. OCU posted 30 wins for the third time in four years with its 23rd consecutive NAIA Division I Championship Tournament berth.
In 2019-20, OCU featured five all-conference choices, two NAIA Division I all-Americans and one first-team Women’s Basketball Coaches Association all-American (Abby Selzer). Selzer became SAC women’s basketball player of the year and conference female athlete of the year. The Stars also achieved in the classroom as all 13 student-athletes reeled in academic all-SAC, six earned NAIA and SAC scholar-athlete awards and one picked up College Sports Information Directors of America academic all-district (Selzer). The team was honored with NAIA and SAC scholar team awards.
Prior to OCU, she spent 2018-19 as assistant varsity coach, head junior varsity coach and assistant ninth-grade coach at Harrah High School (Okla.). She has two years experience coaching on the college level at Northern Oklahoma-Enid and fellow Sooner Athletic Conference member USAO. She was a student assistant at Southwestern Oklahoma State.
Reddoch played basketball at Southwestern and Northern-Enid. At Southwestern, she contributed to the Lady Bulldogs reaching the Great American Conference Tournament championship game.
Reddoch earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science at Southwestern. Reddoch is the daughter of Oklahoma Coaches Association hall of fame basketball coach Doug Schumpert. She and her husband Troy were married Oct. 13, 2018 after meeting at Southwestern. The couple have a daughter (Maison).
