Latricia Trammell provides an experienced hand on the bench as an assistant coach at Oklahoma City University.
Last season, Trammell helped the Stars to an NAIA quarterfinals finish and the program’s seventh consecutive 30-win season. OCU won the Sooner Athletic Conference championship with an 18-0 record.
Trammell spent two seasons at Texas Woman’s in Denton, Texas. She also spent one season at North Texas. While at Texas Woman’s, the women’s basketball camps experienced record enrollment under Trammell’s guidance.
Trammell was head coach at Denton Ryan High School (Texas) and Midwest City High School (Okla.).
In three years at Denton Ryan, Trammell led her team to a 64-30 record and two district championships and a district final. She won two coach of the year awards, leading Denton Ryan to its first playoff appearance and winning the most games of any Denton Ryan girls coach ever.
At Midwest City, Okla., Trammell led the Lady Bombers to a 41-11 record, two Class 6A state tournaments and two Mid-State Conference championships.
Trammell earned Oklahoman honorable mention all-state coach of the year in 1999. She coached in the Jim Thorpe All-Star game and the Big All-City game. Before becoming head coach, she was assistant girls basketball coach and assistant track coach at Midwest City.
A native of Seminole, Okla., Trammell earned her bachelor of science in biology from East Central University. She played basketball two seasons at Seminole State College.
