Oklahoma City Athletics has selected Erin Johnson to lead its Stunt Program.
Johnson returns to OCU after spending over a decade involved in STUNT, Gymnastics, and Cheerleading, serving in the capacities of coach, official, and administrator.
A native to Oklahoma City and proud alumna to the university, she will get set to take over a program that is coming off an exciting NCA National Title in Daytona Beach back in April.
From 2019-2021, Johnson worked for USA Cheer and STUNT where she assumed the role of STUNT Director of Games Administration and chaired numerous committees for the continued development of the sport. She was responsible for recruitment of STUNT teams at the club, high school, and college level as STUNT pursued Emerging Sport status with the Committee on Women’s Athletics (CWA). Johnson was also the Founder and Director of the Oklahoma STUNT Officials Association; responsible for training, managing, and assigning STUNT officials in the Oklahoma area.
Dating back to 2012, Johnson currently serves as a judge for Women’s Artistic Gymnastics and as an Oklahoma National Association of Women’s Gymnastics Judges Board Member.
Johnson attended Southern Nazarene University from 2006-10 where she competed in Cross Country, Track & Field, and Cheer as she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
Following her time at SNU, Johnson attended Oklahoma City University from 2011-13 and earned a Master of Science in Criminology. While at OCU she was a member of the Cheer program, winning two National Championships with the Stars and was a three-time All-American.
