Kyle Blaser has made history guiding the Oklahoma City University men’s golf team.
Blaser has won more NAIA men’s golf championships than any coach (10). He has been the NAIA national coach of the year nine times, also the most ever by anyone. Oklahoma City has also won 19 Sooner Athletic Conference championships and 11 regional titles and in 21 seasons under Blaser.
In 2016-17, the Stars captured seven tournaments with two runner-up finishes. OCU won the SAC championship for the seventh time in eight years. Blaser led the Stars to their 10th NAIA championship, prevailing by eight strokes and erasing a seven-shot deficit May 27, 2016 at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill. OCU has 107 wins under Blaser.

In his time at OCU, Blaser has coached five NAIA individual champions and national players of the year, two NAIA individual runners-up, 75 all-Americans, 48 Golf Coaches Association of America all-Americans, seven four-time all-Americans, two Phil Mickelson award winners as NAIA freshman of the year, 27 NAIA scholar-athlete award winners, nine CoSIDA academic all-Americans, seven all-Nicklaus selections, six NAIA Region VI champions and players of the year, 13 conference individual champions and 13 SAC players of the year.
Blaser has been inducted into the NAIA Hall of Fame and the Golf Coaches Association of America Hall of Fame. He guided the United States’ finest junior players against 11 countries from around the world in the 2007 and 2017 Toyota World Junior Golf Cup.
Several former Stars have turned professional and compete in tours around the world. OCU alum Tyrone Van Aswegen has been on the PGA TOUR since 2013, while Jacques Blaauw made the Web.com Tour in 2017.
OCU started its women’s program in 2000-01, and the Stars immediately became a powerhouse under Blaser’s guidance. OCU finished as NAIA runner-up and captured nine tournament titles, including the NAIA Region VI and SAC championships. Two women’s golfers became all-Americans. 
Blaser coached at Jenks High School (Okla.) in 1996. In his tenure there, Jenks won the conference title, regional title and Class 5A state championship. In 1996, Blaser was named Oklahoma Golf Coaches Association regional representative.
Blaser and his wife Krista have sons named Blake, Carson and Chase.
