Oklahoma City University Athletics

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City stayed unbeaten with a 9-0 victory over the University of the Southwest on Friday.
 
Jade Flower and Yami Ponce had two goals each while Austin Clift added a goal and a pair of assists in the rout.
 
Flower broke a scoreless tie in the 25^th minute with an assist from Maria Lopez and she got her brace seven minutes later with Clift's first assist.
 
Amelia Horsford put the Stars ahead 3-0 in the 43^rd minute, getting an assist from Addison Alred.
 
OCU poured in six goals in the second half.
 
Ali Daugherty scored with an assist from Reese Roberts in the 57^th minute and Ponce got her first goal with an assist from Emma Blomberg in the 60^th.
 
Louyse Souza buried a penalty kick in the 63^rd minute and Ponce, with an assist from Kayleigh Haygood, put the ball in the net 23 seconds later.
 
Devin Jansing converted an assist from Clift for a goal in the 77^th minute and with two minutes to play, Clift curled a corner kick into the game's final goal.
 
The Stars out-shot the Mustangs, 27-3, led by Ponce's six shots.
 
Candela Blanco and Gemma Harvey each spent a half in goal to share the shutout without a save.
 
OCU is back in action at 1 p.m. on Monday, hosting Bellevue.
