OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City attempts to get to 2-0 in the Sooner Athletic Conference for the first time since 2023 on Saturday, when the Stars visit Oklahoma Panhandle State at 1 p.m.

The Stars (6-2 overall and 1-0 in the SAC) are coming off a 3-2 win over Southwestern Christian. OCU handed the Eagles their first loss of the season behind two goals by Yami Ponce and one by Kayleigh Haygood.
 
Ponce leads the Stars with five goals and Jade Flower has four. Kayleigh Haygood has three goals and two assists and Karima Marhabi has two goals and four assists. Amelia Horsford, Kyrie Soto and Louyse Souza have two goals apiece.
 
Candela Blanco brings a 1.50 goals-allowed average into the week for the Stars. She has recorded 23 saves and 1.5 shutouts.
 
Panhandle State enters Tuesday's game at 2-4-1 overall and 0-1 in the SAC after Saturday's 2-0 loss at home to Mid-America Christian. The Aggies are 0-3 at home this season. Emma Contreras leads the team with two goals and two assists.
 
Nelson is 4-5 this season after a 3-2 loss at Wayland Baptist in the SAC opener. Lizeth Moreno leads NU with four goals this season and Daisy Ruiz has scored two goals and has three assists.
