OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City rallied for two goals in the final 25 minutes to take a 3-2 victory over Southwestern Christian in both teams' Sooner Athletic Conference opener Saturday night.
 
It was SCU's first loss of the season.
 
Yami Ponce scored the first of her two goals with a shot from just outside the box in the 28^th minute.
 
Shoshona Graham got the first of her two goals for SCU in the 41^st minute to tie the game and then gave the Eagles their first lead in the 49th minute, 2-1.
 
Kayleigh Haygood skimmed one just inside the top of the net from just inside the goal line to tie the score in the 66^th minute.
 
With under 10 minutes to go, Kyrie Soto's shot from close range was saved by the SCU keeper but Ponce was there to clean up the deflection and get the game-winner.
 
The Stars had 15 shots on the night, including three each by Ponce, Soto and Karima Marhabi. OCU had eight shots on goal: two each by Ponce and Soto and one each from Haygood, Mackenzie Lehnus, Marhabi and Louyse Souza.
 
Now 6-2 overall and 1-0 in the SAC, the Stars visit Oklahoma Panhandle State at 1 p.m. on Tuesday.
