OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City got the Sooner Athletic Conference season started on the right foot with a 1-0 win over Southwestern Christian Saturday night.

After a scoreless first half,
Hannan Ashraf scored the only goal of the game, beating the keeper after taking a pass from midfield by
Matheus Ambrozio in the 53
rd minute.

Vittorio Di Carlo got the clean sheet in goal, turning away three shots.

The Stars had 10 shots on the night, led by Ambrozio and
Francisco Miquel with three each. OCU had four shots on goal with one each by Ashraf, Miquel, Ambrozio and
Harrison Knight.

The win puts the defending conference champion Stars at 1-0 in the league and 3-4-2 on the season. The SAC season continues with the Stars at Oklahoma Panhandle State at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
