Allen Tees Off at NAIA Championships on Tuesday

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University's Logan Allen begins her quest to win an individual national championship Tuesday morning in Ypsilanti, Mich., at the NAIA Women's Golf National Championships.

Allen begins at the 10th tee at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday from Eagle Crest Golf Club.

Allen qualified as an individual as the Stars' No. 23 ranking left them just outside the at-large qualifiers list. She is one of six individual entrants and is paired with Hannah Ulibarri of The Master's and Iona Pollitt of Tennessee-Southern for the first two rounds. The other three individuals are Eleanor Schuitema of Taylor, Allison Meyerink of Dakota Wesleyan and Isabell Burnett of Judson.

Allen was runner-up at the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament and claimed All-SAC and NAIA Scholar Athlete honors. She has a stroke average of 74.4 and is ranked 19th nationally. Allen won the Kyle Baser Invite and the Battling in the Desert Tournaments. She was runner-up at the SAC Championship as well as the Battle at Winter Creek.

The official pairings have Allen teeing on the second round on Wednesday at 3 p.m. from the first hole.
