OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City held off Texas Wesleyan 7-6 on Friday to advance to Saturday's Sooner Athletic Conference Championship game at USAO.

Oklahoma City got an RBI single by
Kaiden Spidell to break a scoreless tie in the second inning and in the fourth,
Gabby Moreno stole second and scored on two throwing errors for a 2-0 lead.

The Rams tied the game in the bottom of the fourth but OCU went ahead 6-2 with four runs in the top of the fifth.
Hadley Gibson sored on a wild pitch,
Peyton Barrow had a two-run double and Moreno doubled in a run for a 6-2 lead.

TWU made it a 6-5 game in the fifth, but
Tara Hoehner came up with an RBI double for a 7-5 lead.

TWU scored a run in the bottom of the sixth and got the potential tying run to first base with one out in the seventh before
Morgandee Sawatzky started a 1-6-3 double play to earn the save.

McKenna Snyder got the win, pitching five innings.

The Stars had eight hits, including three by Moreno.
