Stars Record Sixth Consecutive Shutout

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City posted its sixth consecutive shutout, knocking off Williams Baptist 3-2 on Tuesday.

After starting the year with two losses – both 1-0 and with both results coming on penalty kicks – the Stars produced a clean sheet while limiting the Eagles to eight shots.

"That's the big thing we talk to the boys about. If they don't get scored on, they're always gonna create chances," said OCU Head Coach Billy Martin. "And we've been really stingy. So, when your hard to score on, you're always gonna create chances. It's a team effort. And the boys, even the front boys, the forwards, the midfielders, take pride in clean sheets, and it's really shown."

Thomas Brulay ripped home the game-winner after receiving a pass from Ruben Fahiya in the 25th minute.

Xaiden Easter used a feed from keeper Alexis Bertrand and beat the opposing keeper for a 2-0 lead in the 82nd minute.

Betrand needed just one save for the win in goal.

Bernardo Duarte and Juan Erazo had shots on goal for the Stars.

OCU gets another test on Saturday when they battle No. 9 Bellevue in Nebraska.
