DES MOINES, Iowa - The OCU women's wrestling team competed in the Grand View Open this weekend, an event featuring several top-ranked NAIA and NCAA women's wrestling programs.

Two OCU athletes stood out with impressive performances—Natalia Posada and Alexis Miller, who is currently ranked #3 in the country at 103 lbs. Both secured third-place finishes.

Miller advanced to the semifinals, where she faced last year's NCAA Championship runner-up, Sterlin Dias. After a tough loss, she bounced back in the third-place match with a victory over Grand View's #6-ranked Judy Sandoval.

Posada started the tournament with a win before falling to Rachel Fode from Wartburg College. However, she responded with an incredible run, winning five consecutive matches—either by fall or tech fall—to secure third place. In the consolation semifinals, she even avenged her earlier loss to Fode with a fall victory.

Both wrestlers demonstrated resilience and determination, making strong statements as they continue their seasons.
