OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City begins a stretch of five games in 10 days this week with home contests against John Brown on Thursday and College of the Ozarks on Saturday.
 
The Stars (3-5 overall and 0-3 in the SAC) battle John Brown (4-5, 2-1) at 6 p.m. on Thursday and the Bobcats (4-3, 2-1) at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Five in 10: Oklahoma City plays another three games next week with home dates Monday against Southwestern Christian and Saturday against Nelson wrapped around a Thursday road date at Texas Wesleyan.
 
Previously: Oklahoma City came up short against Williams Baptist on Tuesday, falling 75-63. Ellie Willard led the Stars with 15 points, followed by Lia Sekhniashvili with 14 and Victoria Ososanya with 12. Lauren Rowan had seven assists. Amanda Sene Da Cruz and Rowan had nine rebounds each.
 
Stars at Home: The Stars are 1-1 at home this season and this week provides OCU with its first home Sooner Athletic Conference games. Elli Willard leads the team with 13 points per game in Abe Lemons Arena. Victoria Ososanya averages 11 points at home. The Stars have both scored and allowed 66 points per game on their home court.
 
OCU vs. the SAC: OCU has battled injuries in its three Sooner Athletic Conference contests. Ellie Willard averages 15.7 points per game, The Stars have missed starting forward Weronika Tomaszuk in all three games, resulting in a 45-29 rebounding deficit on average. OCU has been consistent with 56 points at Southwestern Christian and 55 at both Mid-America Christian at USAO.

Off the Bench: Monica Devine has been reliable for five points while shooting 56 percent from the field as a reserve for the Stars this season. She has been pressed into service as a starter twice this season.
 
History with JBU: The Golden Eagles have won seven of the last eight meetings but the Stars broke up a six-game JBU streak last season in Abe Lemons Arena when OCU won 61-57 in overtime.
 
Scouting the Golden Eagles: John Brown is 4-5 overall and 2-1 in the SAC after a home loss to College of the Ozarks on Tuesday. Sarah Snodgrass, a 5-11 guard, averages 18.9 points and 11.5 rebounds for JBU.
