OKLAHOMA CITY – Top-seeded Oklahoma City continued its postseason offensive fireworks with a 5-1 Sooner Athletic Conference semifinal win over Wayland Baptist on Friday.

The win puts the Stars at home for Monday's championship game at 7 p.m. against John Brown or Mid-America Christian.

"They're playing well at the right time," said OCU Head Coach
Billy Martin. "You know, when you have 11 new players, you lose 11 very good players; it just took us some time this season. We had to be patient. We always tell teams, 'You gotta play right at the right time. We are slowly getting there. Fran is healthy and he's scoring goals. Guys are all pretty much healthy, and they are really clicking at the moment, the perfect time to be clicking."

OCU has now scored 10 goals in two postseason games.

The Stars started things early when
Francisco Miquel headed in a great cross from
Harrison Knight for a 1-0 lead just 91 seconds into the game.

OCU was up 2-0 less than six minutes later when Miquel took the ball from a defender and beat the Pioneer keeper one-on-one.

 WBU's Jamol Williams scored his ninth goal of the season just 19 seconds into the second half to make it a 2-1 game but that just stirred up the Stars.

After a shot by Miquel hit the post,
Ethan Taylor headed home the carom for a 3-1 lead in the 52
nd minute.

Knight banked in a shot off the left post after getting an assisting cross from
Matheus Ambrozio in the 57
th minute.

Sage Trevino got the final goal of the day, using an assist from
Juan Erazo for the 5-1 margin.

OCU had 10 shots on goal on the day, led by Miquel with four and Taylor with two. Trevino, Knight, Ambrozio and
Ruben Fahiya has one each.
