OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City women's basketball gets back on the courts on Friday, taking on Sterling College in Kansas at 6 p.m.

OCU Notebook
Good Start: The Stars head to Kansas with a 2-1 record. OCU had a losing record after three games in each of the previous three seasons.
 
Last Game: The Stars are coming off a 92-89 win over Ottawa (Ariz.) in St. Louis. Ellie Willard delivered 30 points and seven rebounds to headline the winning effort. Lauren Rowan (14), Victoria Ososanya (13), Jerzie Bryant (12) and Weronika Tomaszuk (12) joined Willard in double-figure scoring for the game. Monica Devine added seven rebounds.
 
Thirty: Ellie Willard put up 30 points in OCU's win over Ottawa. It was OCU's first 30-point game since Annillia Dawn scored 34 at Mid-America Christian in 2023.
 
Scoring: Ellie Willard leads the team in scoring at 19 points per game, with Weronika Tomaszuk at 10.5. Willard leads the team with six three-pointers made and shoots 37.5 percent from the arc.
 
Free but Not Easy: The Stars are shooting 62 percent from the free-throw line this season. Lauren Rowan has been doing well there this season, shooting 85.7 percent (12-14). Lia Sekhniashvili (3-3) and Desiree White (2-2) are perfect early in the season.
 
Board Work: The Stars are out-rebounding opponents by nearly five rebounds per game and averaging 40.3 per game. Weronika Tomaszuk leads the team with seven rebounds per game. Monica Devine leads the squad with six offensive rebounds this season.
 
Feed Me: Seven Stars have multiple assists this season, led by Ellie Willard with 11. She is averaging 3.7 assists per game. OCU averages 13.7 as a team.
 
Steals: Victoria Ososanya, OCU's first player off the bench, leads the team with three steals and is the lone Star averaging at least one steal per game.
 
History with Sterling: It's been almost two years since the Stars last played Sterling. The Knights won in Kansas, 59-57, two Novembers ago. Lauren Rowan had two points and three rebounds as a starter in that game.
 
Scouting Sterling: Sterling started the season with a 77-72 loss to Haskell last week and hosts Hastings tonight. Junior guard Karlee Jacobs had 22 points and senior forward McKenna Vogl had 10 rebounds.
