PLAYERS TO WATCH
David Imbert comes off potentially the best game of his career after notching his second-career hat trick with all three goals coming under two minutes in the 8-0 win over Our Lady of the Lake on Thursday. Imbert took the team-lead in goals scored with a total of four after his hat trick performance.
Ruben Fahiya and
Marco Alongi enter tied for the second most goals with three each. Fahiya burst onto the scene in the season-opener back on Aug. 20 by netting two goals in his OCU debut.
Like Fahiya, Alongi tallied a pair of goals against Bethany with another one coming on Thursday against OLLU. In 2023, Alongi strung together a stellar year for the Stars leading all members of the OCU squad with nine goals.
Thomas Brualy has has come right out of the gate in the 2024 campaign on a heater after having three assists in the season-opener before scoring his first goal of the season on Saturday, Aug. 24 against Jarvis Christian. Brulay came back on Thursday against the Saints and dished out two more assists to bring his season total to five which ties for first in all of the NAIA.
SCOUTING THE SAINTS...
Randall has opened its 2024 season at 0-2 after suffering defeats from Southwestern Christian 5-0 and Crowder College 3-1. Randall completed a 4-9-1 season a year ago seeing its last winning season come in 2022 where the Saints went 11-6-2.
SERIES HISTORY
Oklahoma City and Randall will play for the fourth year in a row as Oklahoma City holds a 3-0 record over the Saints. Last year's meeting ended in a 4-1 score with two goals coming from
Bernardo Duarte along with makes by
Jordan Da Costa and
Marco Alongi.
