OKLAHOMA CITY - The Oklahoma City Stars men's soccer team return back home after a 2-0 start to its season to face off against Our Lady of the Lake at 8:15 PM on Thursday night.

PLAYERS TO WATCH
Ruben Fahiya shined in his OCU debut in the season-opener against Bethany after being away from the pitch for 13 months. Fahiya netted two goals both being assisted by Thomas Brulay while having an assist of his own on Keita Kishino's goal.

Marco Alongi joined Fahiya in game one with a pair of goals for himself picking up right where he left off a season ago. In his junior season Alongi strung together a stellar year for the Stars as Alongi lead all members of the OCU squad with nine goals.

Thomas Brualy has has come right out of the gate in the 2024 campaign on a heater after having three assists in the season-opener before scoring his first goal of the season on Saturday against Jarvis Christian and now ties Fahiya for the team lead with five points. 

Bernardo Duarte led Oklahoma City on Saturday with an assist on Brulay's goal in the first half before scoring one of his own late in the match. Duarte netted his first of the season and the ninth of his career.

SCOUTING THE SAINTS
Our Lady of the Lake Our Lady of the Lake comes off a 5-8-3 2023 season and opened the new year last Friday against Screiner University where the Saints came away with a 2-1 victory. After falling behind 1-0 at the half, OLLU came out of the locker room and added a pair of goals from Thiago Fernandes and Alessandro Sierra to secure the win in the Saints season-opener.

SERIES HISTORY
Oklahoma City comes into Thursday's match with three straight wins over Our Lady of the Lake as the Stars leads the all-time series at 5-2-2 dating back to 2012.

The two schools met up last season on Sept. 2 where Oklahoma City earned a 2-0 win on goals by Bernardo Duarte and Jordan Da Costa while David Imbert assisted on both.
