OKLAHOMA CITY – After dropping the series opener, the Oklahoma City bats came alive for a pair of victories on Saturday to take the series against Southwestern Christian on Denney Crabaugh Field at Jim Wade Stadium.

With the victory, OCU improved to 23-13, while the Eagles fell to 23-13.
The win evened up the series as OCU held Southwestern Christian scoreless through six before the Eagles got on the board in the final inning of play.
Kade Shatwell picked up the win for the Stars in five innings of work allowing a season-best one hit on a season-high eight strikeouts as Shatwell improved to 5-1 on the year.
The Stars offense was led by
Trent Kiraly and
Aiden Alexander, who both placed two hits with three RBIs each as Kiraly tabbed his 10th double of the season.
Oklahoma City scored one run in the second, third and fourth inning each taking an early 3-0 lead until OCU broke the game wide open by pouring on six runs in the sixth inning highlighted by two-RBI knocks from Alexander and Kiraly.
Chad Pike launched his 10th home run of the season after a solo shot in the second inning.

With the victory, the Stars improved to 24-13, while SCU fell to 23-14. Oklahoma City is now 26-6 against Southwestern Christian since 2014.
OCU collected 15 hits, including four doubles and two home runs, in the win, and three Stars –
Aiden Alexander,
Hunter Lenochan and
Aiden Van Rensum – tallied multiple RBIs.
Lenochan and Duhon led the way with a game-high three hits a piece, as Lenochan tallied two RBIs with his with his sixth double of the season, while Duhon was 3-for-4 with an RBI and a double, his fifth of the year.
Aiden Van Rensum tallied a season-high five RBIs to go along with a pair of hits including double number six on the year.
Reese Ratchford made his fifth start of the season and earned the win on the mound improving to 6-1 on the year. Ratchford allowed two runs on three hits while tying a season-high of six strikeouts.
The Stars bullpen also shined as Van Rensum and
Spencer Biggerstaff shutout the Eagles in the final two innings.
As OCU led 3-1 after four, the rain began to fall sending the game into a delay. The weather did not seem to be a factor in slowing down the Stars offense as OCU rattled off seven runs in the bottom of the fifth as Van Rensum and Lenochan provided two RBI doubles while
Tristan Williams and
Aiden Alexander contributed with RBI knocks of their own.
Van Rensum finished off his big day with a three-run homer in the sixth, his eighth on the year and third most on the team.
Chad Pike extended his hitting streak to five consecutive games after going deep for the second straight game bringing his home run total to 11, second on the team behind
Trent Kiraly.
Oklahoma City earned the series victory over Southwestern Christian after taking both games on Saturday.
The Stars will hit the road making the short trip to Chickasha to take on Science & Arts on Thursday, Apr. 11 at 7 PM.
