OKLAHOMA CITY – Shelbey Cornelson's complete game two-hit shutout to led the No. 2 Oklahoma City to a 10-0 victory in game one before
Emersen Heron tossed a shutout of her own while hitting a home run in game two over Wayland Baptist on Saturday at Ann Lacy Stadium.

With the win, the Stars improved to 33-2 as Wayland Baptist fell to 16-21.
Oklahoma City scored three runs in first and second inning while seeing its biggest inning come in the fourth to solidify the run rule by putting up four runs in the frame after RBI knocks from
Kaitlyn Jones and
Kaylee Witte followed by
Emersen Heron capping off the inning with a two run home run, her 10th on the season.
After dealing 15 strikeouts on Friday,
Shelbey Cornelson allowed only three baserunners all game, on just two hits. She needed only 81 pitches to defeat the Pioneers and improve to 14-2 on the season. Amber Poorbaugh took the loss for Wayland, falling to 4-4 on the year.
For Cornelson, it was her sixth consecutive complete game and fifth straight shutout victory.
Kaitlyn Jones and Bailiegh Loux led the way with three hits each, as Jones scored three times while driving in three runs while Loux knocked in two and scored once.
Rally Radacy notched the games only triple, her second of the year while putting together a two hit game including two runs scored.
Emersen Heron and
Tiffany Paul launched the two home runs for OCU as Heron went 2-for-3 at the plate tabbing her 10th home run of the season. Paul also tallied a 2-for-3 game while hittng her fifth home run of the season, setting a new career-high for homers in a single season surpassing last season's total of four.

With the win, the Stars improved to 34-2 overall and 23-1 in conference play and Wayland Baptist fell to 16-22 with the loss.
The Cowgirls claimed their 21st run-rule victory of the year highlighted by Emersen Heron's team-leading 11th home run of the season. On the day, Heron went 1-for-3 with two RBI while also dealing a shutout victory inside the circle allowing six hits while striking out four to remain unbeaten at 15-0.
Kamryn Garvie got the Stars going in the first with an RBI single scoring Rally Radacy. Garvie's big day was far from over as the senior helped lead OCU to big innings in the third and fourth with a home in each inning bringing her season total to 10 home runs on the year, second on the team. Garvie's day finished being perfect at the plate while tabbing five RBIs and two runs scored.
Radacy and Baileigh Loux made up the four Stars with multiple base hits while Radacy scored two times bringing her run total to 41 on the year, third on the team.
Loux was able to extend her hitting streak to eight games after going 2-for-3 with a run scored.
OCU softball tabbed its 15th consecutive victory on Saturday while staying undefeated at home with a record of 18-0. Oklahoma City picked up its fifth conference sweep whioe shutting out the Pioneers in all four games.
The Stars return to action as the hit road again next weekend on Apr. 12-13 in Goodwell taking on Oklahoma Panhandle State at 2 & 4 PM on Friday.
