OKLAHOMA CITY - OCU softball completed the four-game sweep over Southwestern Christian with two more wins on Wednesday as the Stars shut out the Eagles in game one and went deep three times in the series finale.

Oklahoma City started its rally in the second inning with three runs that were ignited by an Iliana Ashford single to center that scored Kindalyn Miller from second.
Leading 3-0, the Stars had a lot more left in the tank putting up six more runs in the fourth inning as Rally Radacy and Kaitlyn Jones both tabbed RBI singles.Â
Shelbey Cornelson pitched her fourth shutout of the year earning her 11th win inside the circle going five innings while allowing just one hit and collecting five strikeouts.Â
Hoehner led the way with a three-RBI game while doubling for the 10th time this season.
Kaitlyn Jones extended her hitting streak to nine games by going 1-for-1 with a run scored and an RBI.Â
It was a full team effort in game one as no one had more than one hit while seven different Stars drove in a run including Iliana Ashford, Kamyrn Garvie, Rally Radacy, Emersen Heron, and Kindalyn Miller.Â
The shutout victory was the 10th shutout win Oklahoma City has had this season.Â

For the first time this series, Southwestern Christian controlled the lead after putting up two runs in the opening frame.Â
Oklahoma City immediately took the lead back with a five-run first inning behind RBI singles from Kamryn Garvie and Iliana Ashford.Â
Tara Hoehner capped off the big inning with a three-run homer over the left field foul pole adding her fifth home run of her freshman campaign
OCU continued its heater with a pair of three-run homers in the third and fourth innings with Amy Crabaugh extending her hitting streak to six games with her second home run of the year while Garvie tied BailieghLoux for the team lead in home runs with a three-run knock of her own to finish off her four-RBI day.Â
Emersen Heron stayed perfect with another win inside the circle moving to 11-0 on the year in five innings of work allowing two runs on four hits while striking out two and going without a walk for the fourth straight game.Â
Kaitlyn Jones moved her hitting streak to 10 games after going 2-for-3 with two runs scored.Â
After going back-to-back games without a hit for the first time all season in the first two games of this series, Rally Radacy bounced back with a two-hit game while scoring twice to bring her season run total to 35 which leads the conference.Â
Oklahoma City earns its second conference sweep and moves to 15-1 in SAC play.Â
With the win, OCU moves to 29-0 against Southwestern Christian dating back to 2017.
