OKLAHOMA CITY. – The Oklahoma City women's basketball team concluded its 2023-24 season with its eight straight loss on Saturday to Southwestern Christian as the Eagles were able to hold off the Stars 62-53 while OCU honored five seniors on senior day inside Abe Lemons Arena.

Oklahoma City ends the year 6-22 with the loss and 5-17 in the SAC.

Ray Osborn led OCU in scoring with a game-high 19 points. The senior hit eight of 14 shots setting a new season record for field goals made in a single game while coming one point shy of tying a season high.

Amaya Gordon reached double-figures for the 13th straight outing while notching her 10th double-double of the season by putting up 13 points and 10 rebounds while going 5-of-6 from the foul line.

While it was senior day, freshman Jazmin Adams gave a glimpse of the future with a dominant performance of scoring eight points while hauling 14 rebounds, the fourth time in a row Adams has reached the double-digit mark.

Oklahoma City shot 36.4 percent from the floor on Saturday. OCU made 20 of 55 shots, 2 of 9 from outside, both coming from senior Analynn Bohner and went 11 of 14 from the free-throw line.

Oklahoma City held four different leads in the game coming just 28 seconds into the contest where Ray Osborn cashed in the first bucket of the game. OCU hung with the Eagles for the entirety of the first quarter as Cacie Gorman netted the final basket of the quarter to cut the deficit to just three.

The Stars were able to regain the lead for the second time in the opening minute of the second quarter with Osborn once again hitting back-to-back shots to put OCU up by one. After Jazmin Adams put Oklahoma Cit back in front with 6:26 to go, Southwestern Christian closed out the quarter on a 12-2 run holding the Stars scoreless for the last 4:22 of the period.

OCU was able to climb back in it at the start of the third quarter with an 8-0 run capped off by a three from Bohner. The Stars stayed right with SCU and eventually took the lead on an Osborn jumper.
