How it Happened
Neither side could break through in the first half as Oklahoma City got off just one shot coming from
David Imbert only to be saved by the Golden Eagle keeper. Stars goalie
Alexis Bertrand kept busy in the first 45 coming up with four saves to keep JBU off the board.Â
Imbert put the Stars on top nine minutes into the second half off a double assist by Bernado Duarte and
Marco Alongi. John Brown capitalized after OCU went down a man on the field after a red card as the Golden Eagles scored twice in the span of two minutes to go in front with 18 minutes to play. Looking like things were coming to an end,
Ruben Fahiya delivered in the clutch finding the back corner of the net to tie it up with a minute to go sending it to overtime.Â
Neither side could find goal in the two 10-minute overtime periods sending it to PKs where the Stars prevailed 8-7 sending them to Sooner Athletic Conference Championship game.Â
