About the Stars      

  • Oklahoma City enters Tuesday's contest with a 5-12 overall record while going 4-7 in SAC play. 
  • The Stars are currently suffering a three-game losing streak after falling in all three games by five points or less, most recently dropping Saturday's game to Texas Wesleyan 66-63.   
  • Senior Amaya Gordon leads Oklahoma City in scoring with 14.2 PPG as well as holding the team lead in rebounds with 8.7 RPG. Gordon comes off a huge day on Saturday with her third consecutive double-double while hauling in a career-high 17 rebounds.  
  • Jerzie Bryant, a freshman out of Midlothian, Texas provides the Stars with 12.8 PPG and helped lead OCU to an upset victory over MACU with a career-high 23 points back on Jan. 11.  
  • Freshman Jazmin Adams and senior Cacie Gorman have been a tough tandem down low for Oklahoma City as Adams provides 9.5 and 6.5 RPG. Gorman on the other hand is putting up 6.2 PPG while grabbing 7.2 RPG, second most on the team. 
  • Oklahoma City is starting to improve in the shooting category as the Stars place eighth in the Sooner Athletic Conference with a 37.8 FG% as a team.  
  • Amaya Gordon ranks fourth in the conference in RPG while Cacie Gorman leads the SAC in blocks per game with 1.7.  

About the Golden Eagles 

  • John Brown comes in with a 14-3 record while staying unbeaten in conference play at 11-0.  
  • JBU won its 12th straight game on Saturday after taking down USAO 61-53.  
  • Tarrah Stephens leads the way for the Golden Eagles as one of the top players in the conference averaging 17.4 PPG on 7.3 RPG, Stephens has reached double-digit scoring in 14 straight games while scoring 20 plus points six times this season.   
  • Natalie Smith and Emily Sanders come in as the top two shooters for John Brown as the two combined have drained 96 three-pointers together.  
  • Smith has seen 12 games this season where she has made at least three shots from downtown while Sanders shoots at a 51.2% clip from beyond the arc, having made a three in each game this year. 
  • John Brown is the number one defensive team in the conference in terms of points allowed as the Golden Eagles are only giving up 53.2 PPG. 
  • The Golden Eagles also rank first in team three-point percentage (35.3%) and assists per game (16.7). 
Previous Meeting
  • The previous time these two squads matched up came back on Nov. 28 inside Bill George Arena where John Brown earned a 70-46 victory over OCU. 
  • Jerzie Bryant led Oklahoma City with 11 points and five rebounds while Tarrah Stephens cashed in on a game-high 17 points for JBU while going a perfect 6-6 from the field and 3-3 from beyond the arc.

  • Oklahoma City holds a heavy advantage over John Brown with a 37-5 record against the Golden Eagles.  
  • Despite the record, JBU has found plenty of recent success winning the last four meetings all by 15 points or more.

  • Oklahoma City continues its busy week as the Stars will be back in action on Thursday, wrapping up its three-game home stretch with Langston at 6 PM.
