First Half

Both sides controlled the possession early until Oklahoma City countered the attack heading down the pitch and sending it into the box. As the ball went down close to the goal freshman Reese Roberts made contact and sent it to the back of the net for her second goal of the season. With a 1-0 lead midway through the first period Yami Ponce received a pass from Abby Russell as Ponce went one-on-one shooting towards the left side going into the net for Ponce's first goal in an Oklahoma City uniform. With the half winding down Aubrey Armstrong took one last shot only to be saved by the Saints keeper to send the match to halftime with the Stars in front 2-0.

Second Half

Out of the halftime break, both sides ramped up their defense as OCU allowed three shots in the first 25 minutes compared to OLLU allowing two shots coming from McLain Moss and Jimena Martinez. In the 73rd minute of play, Sydney Hawkins sent a pass up the pitch to Abby Russell who made a quick move launching a shot across the box to the far side of the goal that went into the net on a highlight reel play to extend the lead to 3-0. The Russell goal turned out to be the final staple putting the match too far out of reach and sending OCU on to its second win of the season.
