Lenochan homers, doubles for No. 22 OCU

OKLAHOMA CITY - Oklahoma City University swept both games against Indiana Tech in a Saturday doubleheader 2-1 and 10-2 at Jim Wade Stadium in a showdown of teams both ranked 22nd in NAIA baseball.

Indiana Tech and the Stars were tied in the latest national poll entering this weekend's series. OCU moved to 11-9 on the season.

The Stars walked off the first game in the bottom of the seventh as Barrett Daniel batted in Hunter Lenochan for the game-winning run. Daniel had two hits in the game and a stolen base. In total, the Stars had nine hits with Tristan Williams and Hunter Brown picking up two. Trent Kiraly picked up the Stars other RBI off a double in the third.

Starting pitcher Eli Davis took the win to improve to 4-1 as he struck out six batters.

In the second set of the double header OCU got out to a strong start leading 7-0 after just three innings. Kiraly started the scoring with a double in the first inning. The Stars scored their second run off a sac fly. Hunter Lenochan had himself a game with a homerun in the second and a double in the third to put OCU up 7-0. He had three RBIs. Tristan Williams provided the Stars with two hits and two RBIs as well in the win.

Chad Pike went hit crazy as well against the Warriors with four hits, three runs, a stolen base and one RBI in four at bats. OCU supplied three more runs off two sac flies and a fielder's choice in route to their 10-2 win and 13-hit performance.

On the pitching side of things, Rylan Roberson was dominant, picking up seven strikeouts while allowing two runs on five hits as he improves to 2-1.  Roberson didn't allow a hit until the fourth inning.
